Our Core Values

Impact

Making a profound difference in people’s lives through new ways of thinking and inspired behaviors.

Authenticity

Staying true to our values and spirit. Being honest with ourselves and others and taking responsibility for our actions.

Who We Are - Mission Statement

Humanergy’s mission is to make a real difference in the world – to improve the lives of the individuals with whom we work and thus the people and organizations they touch.

What We Care About - Values Statement

We hold ourselves and the people we work with accountable for creating a positive impact on the people we work with, the communities we live in, and the planet we steward.

As we continuously improve as good humans for other beings and for the planet, it is important for us to work with partners who align with our values.

Solidarity Statement

Humanergy as an organization stands with people who strive to make the world – or their corner of it – a better place. We stand with the families of Rayshard Brooks, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd as well as many, many others who have lost loved ones due to police brutality and systemic racism.

We at Humanergy understand that it is easy to talk the talk, and not so easy to walk the walk when it comes to equity, anti-racism and social justice. We have a long way to go. And we pledge to listen, first and foremost, then to learn and do better. We are starting with a look in the mirror, rather than making some bold statements of disgust over inequality and marginalization (though we are truly outraged).

We are deeply committed to being a part of a country that truly lives out the high ideals of justice, equality and freedom. These are difficult and stressful times. Humanergy wants to be a part of the process as we work toward a culture of mutual honor and respect for all people. We will start within, as all real and meaningful change begins with humble self-examination. We will thoughtfully and sensitively consult with people of color around meaningful and concrete next steps.

I'll admit that a daily practice of journaling is difficult for me. I have failed miserably at regular journaling, and I'm not giving up. (I am 2.5 years into my monthly gratitude spreadsheet, and that's proving to be incredibly helpful in cultivating a positive...

Their feedback is because they’re biased!

You may have heard this before. Or you may have wondered, "Is this really true, or is this person operating on bias?" Getting tough feedback is challenging. It can be more so if you fall into the trap of assuming bias. Are people who give feedback biased? Of course...

Staying calm in crisis: Tips from nurses

I can't think of anyone more well-versed in the art and science of remaining collected under pressure than nurses - those too-often unsung heroes working in a variety of medical settings. What can you learn from them to remain unruffled under pressure? Julie Cullen...

Conquering confidence

Conquering confidence

There are a few themes in my coaching, and for some of my recent clients, confidence has been an issue. Often these talented humans excel at work, and still remain unsure of their abilities and potential. Having confidence at work does not mean being arrogant or...

What is your impact?

What is your impact?

We are believers in the power of leadership development. That's our reason for getting out of bed in the morning. And we have also seen in our two-decades-plus of working with people that it's important for all growth to have a WHY. What we mean by that is, growth for...
