Looking to amp up your self-care routine? Thinking of restorative yoga, a calming face mask or a juice cleanse? Think again. Turns out, the best thing you can do to take care of yourself is focus some compassion on yourself. Extend the same kindness to you that you’d exhibit for a friend or loved one. Having an unproductive day? Instead of being frustrated or judgmental, acknowledge that some days are less productive than others, and that’s okay.
Think of the considerate words you’d share with someone who is struggling, and make sure your internal self-talk matches that level of care.
